Peg Loom Weaving Workshop: Mats

Learn the wonderful craft of peg loom weaving and make a seat pad, pet mat or wall hanging to take home with you!

Learn a new skill and get absorbed in this therapeutic weaving technique.

We will weave with British wool, in a range of natural colours and textures from a variety of rare and native breeds.

You'll learn about all the benefits of wool, get tips on how to wash a fleece, and get to grips with weaving on a peg loom. This is a wonderful, accessible craft, and peg looms and wool will be available to purchase if you'd like to do more weaving at home.

Refreshments are included.

Locations:

The Making Mill, Hebden Bridge:
Located on Valley Road, close to the Town Hall car park. Access is via stairs up to the first floor. It is around a 10-15 minute walk from Hebden Bridge train station through the centre of town, or 5 minutes from the bus stop in the centre. Parking is available at the Town Hall car park and nearby side streets but it can be very busy at weekends so if you are driving do look into parking places in advance and give yourself plenty of time.

Woodend Mill, Mossley, Greater Manchester:
Held in Spindoctor Yarns, Mill 2 on the second floor up approximately 16 steps. It is about a 20 minute flat walk from Mossley train station, or is on the bus route.
There is a car park available at the mill.

ACCESSIBILITY: I am aware that the venues I am currently using are not accessible for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. If you would like to take part in a workshop but these venues are not suitable for you please get in touch and I will aim to arrange a workshop at an accessible venue.
