Peg Loom Weaving Workshop Sun 27th July: Make a rug or small mat
Sunday 27th July at Gordon Rigg Garden Centre, Todmorden. Choose your project:
Mats: half day workshop 11 - 1pm
Rugs: full day workshop 11 - 4:30pm
Learn the wonderful craft of peg loom weaving and make a mat that can be used as a seat pad, kneeling mat, pet mat or wall hanging.
Or come along for the full day and make a small rug, perfect for beside your bed, in front of the fire, or as a pad for a bench. Your rug will measure approximately 45 x 90cm or measurements can be adapted to fit a certain space if you have something in mind – get in touch in advance to discuss this.
You’ll weave with British wool from different breeds of sheep giving a variety of natural shades and textures. And you’ll learn more about wool and its many benefits.
Learn a new skill and get absorbed in this therapeutic weaving technique!
This is a wonderful, accessible craft, and peg looms and wool will be available to purchase if you'd like to do more weaving at home.
Refreshments are included. Those for the full day workshop can bring along lunch or pop to the garden centre farm shop which is full of goodies!
